Impact at a glance

In 2022/23 we supported more than 750 rangatahi and whānau along their cancer journey. Our Clinical Team provided 3,896 counselling and therapeutic interactions with rangatahi.

Canteen held 81 face-to-face and online events, allowing 331 rangatahi to connect. This included the Leadership Festival, Cansurf, 35th Anniversary Gala Dinner, and action-packed Hub Day events across Aotearoa.

This year, we've had an immense impact on the mental health of the rangatahi we support. 87% of rangatahi said their mental health improved and 84% of rangatahi said they could deal more effectively with problems.

In 2022/23, you enabled us to spend $2.2m on vital services supporting rangatahi impacted by cancer. Canteen relies on the generosity of the community to achieve our core purpose of ensuring no rangatahi goes through cancer alone. We’d like to say a huge thank you to our regular givers and other donors, as well as the corporate and community partners who make our work possible.
