We came back strong in 2021 with supporters, ambassadors, and partners across Aotearoa wearing bandannas and contributing to our nationwide bucket collection held on Friday 26 March.
Around 4,200 new rangatahi are impacted by cancer each year, whether it’s a close family member’s diagnosis or their own
Our annual Bandanna Day appeal is a powerful fundraising initiative used to raise awareness and family cancer support for rangatahi. A massive thank you to all those who took part in Bandanna Day this year – making it one of our strongest yet!
Bandanna Day 2021 was so important following a challenging year
2021 was an especially marked event, due to last year’s cancellation and following a year of additional anxiety and often isolation due to coronavirus and lockdown measures. Making it so important for us to be able to be out on the streets and come back stronger than before.
Stylish limited-edition bandannas
Bandanna Day has never been so stylish! A huge thank you to RUBY for supporting Canteen and designing a limited-edition RUBY x Canteen bandanna for supporters to wear.
Our fantastic partners!
Bandanna Day was a success, and particularly because of the support from our wonderful partners across Aotearoa – who wore and sold bandannas, hit the streets for our bucket collection, and helped us to spread the word far and wide! Your help meant we were able to raise more funds for our rangatahi experiencing cancer – thank you.
Canteen is the only organisation that solely supports 13-24 year olds living with cancer across New Zealand. It’s never too late to show your support and get involved – get your bandanna today to show your solidarity with rangatahi experiencing cancer.
