World Cancer Day 2017

World Cancer Day 2017

Cancer is traumatic at any time, but for young people, facing cancer is different. A cancer diagnosis of their own or of a close family member can turn their lives upside down instantly, and for several young people throughout New Zealand, this is their reality.

This Saturday, February 4th, World Cancer Day aims to reduce the impact of cancer each year by creating awareness and encouraging individuals to take action to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Show your support for young people whose world has been turned upside down by cancer, by turning your own world upside down. Do a handstand, take a photo and share with your friends and family on social media using #worldcancerday to create awareness of the much needed support CanTeen provides for young people living with cancer.

Don’t want to do a handstand? Donate instead, but still nominate your friends.

Join us in making a stand this World Cancer Day and help us make sure that no young person ever faces cancer alone.
