CanTeen Connect

Cancer doesn’t care if the challenges it brings occur within business hours so neither do we. CanTeen’s online support services give young people a safe online space where they can connect with a counsellor online or by phone 7 days a week regardless of where they live. An online peer support community is also available 24/7 so young people can connect, chat and share stories with other young people who understand what they’re going through.

This platform encompasses many services that can be accessed by young people all over the country including:

  • Peer support via an online peer community which includes forums, blogs, video stories and instant messaging
  • Information resources (podcasts, webinars and now what books)
  • Group programmes
  • Parent forum (connecting parents who are dealing with a child’s cancer diagnosis)
  • Counselling (instant messages, email and phone available 7 days per week with qualified social workers and counsellors)

We’ve combined CanTeen Connect with our face to face services and programmes to ensure we can cater for all 13-24 year old’s and support more young people than ever before no matter where they live nationwide.
