CanSurf 2022
Rangatahi enjoyed a wonderful couple of days in Waihi Beach last weekend for our CanSurf camp. Rangatahi from around Aotearoa had the opportunity to attend the two-night camp held in Waihi Beach, led by our Psychosocial Workers and Youth Workers.
The crew travelled together to Waihi Beach where they settled into the campsite, enjoyed games at the beach, took surf lessons, yoga at sunrise, and a trip to the local fire station – where rangatahi could dress up in firefighter gear and have a ride in the truck.
The recreational camp provides rangatahi with an opportunity to enjoy some respite from the pressures of dealing with cancer, through a range of fun activities! The camp also gives rangatahi a chance to spend time with others who can understand what they’re going through.
