New Zealand Number One Kiwi surfing sensation Paige
Hareb is the newest addition to the CanTeen Ambassador family
joining CanTeen in 2009. Paige attended our 2010 National Camp in
January and got to have fun with numerous CanTeeners. Paige will
also be designing a bandanna for Bandanna Challenge 2011.
Taranaki teenager, Paige Hareb (19) grew up in the small beach
town of Oakura. She is the youngest member of her family and has an
older brother and sister. Paige started surfing when she was around
6 years old by with her dad.
She joined the Oakura Boardriders Club where she competed in
local comps. Paige won the first national competition she ever
entered - the Primary School National Surf comp. Despite winning
numerous competitions it is the travelling that is a definite
highlight for Paige. Paige has a long list of achievements with the
top being the Billabong pro junior series 08 winner.
I'm proud to be supporting CanTeen. I can't imagine
what young people living with cancer have to put up with and deal
with. I just want to do my bit and support them. I'll be wearing my
2010 bandanna design up the mountain, in town, in the surf and
maybe when I sleep in support for a very good
cause.
