Josh Stewart
Sunday, 28 October 1990 - Friday, 12 March 2010
Wellington member Josh Stewart, lost his second battle with
cancer on 12 March. Josh was originally diagnosed in November
2007 with Osteosarcoma and then relapsed at the start of
2009.
Josh did not attend any regional or national programmes but
enjoyed local support during his time at Wellington hospital and
got to know several local members also going through treatment at
the same time.
Josh had a small family ceremony to see him off and the
Wellington branch held a small remembrance for him on 28 March.
Josh left CanTeen Wellington some lovely artwork that appeared
in the winter 2008 edition of the National magazine with the
quote
"Life is like a play station game, full of
missions not always accomplished at first but with perseverance you
can conquer anything and with the right attitude nothing is
impossible."
Josh is onto his next game and I'm sure he is playing it just as
hard as he did the last one.
When you were young...and now (1)
Joshua, you're an awesome nephew. Honorable, trustworthy, talented, respectful, musical, best mate to many, centred, down-to-earth, loving, lovable guy. See you in heaven, I know you made it, because you professed it to all your loved ones.

To Josh and his family from Lil Kat Simpkins
Lil Kat is my daughter and she would talk about you as her friend who had cancer. We did not meet you or your family in person but I hope you know that you are fondly remembered by our whanau. I know that Katarina was devasted to learn that you had passed away earlier this year. I hope you know that you were never far from her thoughts and that when she called to see you at home but you were not there, her thoughts were with you, when you were close to passing on her thoughts were with him, and you will always be remembered by Katarina and our whanau. We share in your family's pain and hurt in losing a loved one and we are sending them our prayers and loving thoughts. I know you made a difference in Katarina's life which she will have with her always and thank you.

My Nephew
Loved you much, still do. What a man I remember you to be. You started cooking and cleaning, helping your Mum & Dad. You were talented in ways not many knew, bright, clever, smart, witty, musical ear at a young age.
You've left a fantastic testimony about knowing God healed you completely, and fear left your being days before you quietly went home.
So proud to have been your Aunty. see you in heaven Boy
