Derryck Scott

On 12 December 2009 Derryck Scott peacefully passed away
surrounded by his family. Derryck brought joy and entertainment to
CanTeen and to all those he met.
Derryck was known to be a bit of a ratbag at times however upon
being told there was no more treatment available; he lived life to
the full and spent as much time as possible with all those he
loved. Derryck's family was so important to him. Derryck was a
selfless young man who thought of others before himself, he loved
to have fun and include everyone around him. Derryck joined us on a
Rest & Relaxation weekend and flying a Microlight plane. We
were always guaranteed a laugh with him up at the hospital and
appreciated his down to earth personality.
