Ayla Blake
Wednesday, 1 October 1986 - Sunday, 19 September 2010
Sadly on Sunday 19 September 2010 Ayla Blake passed away, Ayla
was only 23 years old. Ayla had been Auckland vice president for
5-6 months and was one of the faces of last year's bandanna
challenge campaign with Dan Carter. Ayla dedicated a lot of her
time helping CanTeen from accepting cheques, to telling her story,
to building public awareness for CanTeen. She not only did that on
a local level but on a national level too.
Alya had a huge love for television and always dreamt of being
famous and in front of a camera. Brad and Kimberley from the
Marketing team really spent a lot of time with Ayla as she
helped national build awareness to our partners and to the general
public, she really enjoyed every minute of it! Ayla was our
spotlight girl.
Ayla was a very bubbly, energetic, fun, lovely young lady who
made everyone smile, we shared a lot of fun times with Ayla and we
will miss her very much.
It is with great sadness that we had to say
goodbye to the bubbly and energetic Ayla Blake aka bro. Ayla
known for her great smile, infectious laugh and engaging
personality. Ayla over the years gave so much to CanTeen
providing support to many members while also becoming the Vice
President for the Auckland Branch and being involved in many
of the media and pr campaigns CanTeen have run. Ayla will
always share a special place in the hearts of everyone
she came into contact with both members and staff alike. We
will miss you Ayla, Rest in Peace Gangster. Our love to William,
Kerry and Evelyn.
