    In loving memory of Alexia Violet Haenga who passed away on the 9th October 2010. Alexia was a member of CanTeen for 5 weeks before she lost her courageous battle with liver cancer, she was a beautiful and vibrant 17yr old who was surrounded by loving family through the hard times and she is dearly missed by family and friends.

    Ayla Blake

    Sadly on Sunday 19 September 2010 Ayla Blake passed away, Ayla was only 23 years old. Ayla had been Auckland vice president for 5-6 months and was one of the faces of last year's bandanna challenge campaign with Dan Carter. Ayla dedicated a lot of her time helping CanTeen from accepting cheques, to telling her story, to building public awareness for CanTeen. She not only did that on a local level but on a national level too.

    It is with much sadness, that 18 year old 'Tony Jenkins' passed away at 12.15pm on 9 September 2010 at The Otago Hospice.  Maureen and Donna from the Otago branch were privileged to be present with Tony, his mum and brother to pay their last respects, when he passed away peacefully.

    Kurt's health deteriorated sharply on 9 September and unfortunately passed away in the early hours of the 10th. Kurt was an aspiring film maker and had a movie screened at Mirimars' Park Road which was very well received. He will be missed.

  • Harrison Ward

    Canterbury/West Coast member Harrison Ward (14) passed away on 3 April. Harrison relapsed last year and had been undergoing some intensive treatment and unfortunately two weeks prior, his condition deteriorated just as he was getting into remission.

    Wellington member Josh Stewart, lost his second battle with cancer on 12 March.  Josh was originally diagnosed in November 2007 with Osteosarcoma and then relapsed at the start of 2009.
