When he was up in Auckland Hospital having an operation CanTeen found out about him being in there. When he was all fit and healthy again CanTeen put him through the Spirit of New Zealand and sail down to the Marlborough Sounds for 10 days. He did that and loved it so that made him become a voyager.

As soon as Hayden was older enough he joined CanTeen and so did I. Hayden has been in CanTeen coming up 4 or 5 years and I have been in it for 3 years and absolutely love CanTeen I have made heaps of friends and absolutely loving it.

Our brother Glendon ended up passing away on 24 May 2001, when I was able to join CanTeen I was finding it hard but when I was on camps I would always find people i could talk to and they would under stand what I was going through cos they would always be having similar problems so i would talk and be put at ease. CanTeen has been playing one of the biggest parts of my life I love CanTeen it has been one of the best support groups out with teenages living with cancer and there siblings.

So i would like to say if there are any teenages out there living with cancer and there siblings to get in contact with CanTeen and get involved. Trust me you will have the time of your life cos we are with Waikato/BOP/East cape and every camp and activity we have we are all just out to have fun so if you're a teenager and you have cancer get involved and have fun!!!!!
