Cancer had an early impact on my life when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour (astrocytoma) at four years of age, I sometimes wonder how different life may have been without cancer.

However having been through cancer makes me more determined to live life positively and never hold back. I reached a major milestone just before my 21st birthday when I was finally discharged as an outpatient.  I am now 24 years old and have recently graduated university with an architecture degree.

It is awesome participating in the peer support at CanTeen where everyone has a similar reason to be there. We all share similar experiences even though everyone is at different stages of the cancer journey. One of the values that CanTeen has and is really evident is to 'Live Life' by having a positive attitude, living for the moment and being fun-loving. It encourages me to live life to its full potential.   The opportunities through CanTeen are awesome and I appreciate the support I received and friendships I have made.
